Well… sort of. Mostly re-edited screenshots, but you have to admit that you’d really want to see KyoAni take this on. Not to mention that the re-dub track for Kyonko and Yuuki is included.

The plain re-dub track without the animation made the tea drinking sound very…suggestive. Yes, the gender bending madness still fulfills my high. I sort of wish Kyonko didn’t sound so much like Haruhi, though…
[Edit] Here is a more fluid version of the scene, with the same audio dub:

It’s not gender bending, it’s swapping.
So they’re not just dressing up as the opposite gender, they are it.

How do I gain access to the video? I have no idea where to click after the link.
Thanks!

You need to register with NicoNico to view the video, unfortunately.
And yes, it’s a complete genderswap, or alternate universe if you will. It started over at the Animesuki forums, but has spread like a wildfire through the fandom on the opposite side of the Pacific.

If you want to listen to the clip, you can do so here: http://nicosound.dip.jp/sound/sm2586181
Otherwise, you’ll have to register or wait until someone uploads it to youtube or something. (I have a how-to register entry on this blog if you need it.)
And I wouldn’t say this started on AnimeSuki as much as it was popularized by them. 2ch probably started it, just like everything else.

Genderbending isn’t exactly new in Japanese fandom… it happens all of the time, in fact. However, it isn’t as, shall we say, organized. Compare the genderswap images from 3-5 months ago to the ones we have now. They look NOTHING like the stuff that appeared after the Genderbending project/Seitenkan.
