I’ve long noticed Nyoro~n Fansubs sketchy translations; I was a bit turned off from their Gurren Lagann subs. Not that I care about bringing a fansub group’s failures to the light, but at least people are aware, now.
OT: Man, I wish my Contact album arrived already. I need to blog about all of the updates for Minorin in a nice, compact entry. orz

So what about Nyoro~n’s subs are so sketchy? I’m not denying it, I just haven’t seen enough to notice.
They’re way better than sixtyduece..
I’m basing this on the fansubs of the original Gundam series.
So~ who’s a good fansubber?
To be clear, a GOOD translator is not literal, nor word for word. They take the meaning of the first language and change it into the equivalent meaning of the second language. The internet is filled with literal translations that are completely wrong. Are you saying Nyoron is too literal, not literal, or just completely wrong?
I thought the strip was funny whether I know if it’s true or not!
